I’ve heard raised moles/freckles can be cancerous. Is that true?

I recently had a pretty bad sunburn on my chest, just from a yardsale and wearing a tank top. It burnt the top of my breasts pretty bad. I’ve discovered a few freckles, (im calling them that because they werent there before), that are raised, plus some small bumps all across my shoulders and chest. Should i get them checked out?

The source below may help.

All moles are cancerous as they are caused by rogue cells. Most aren’t worth worrying about.

The only time it worry is if the moles are dark with odd edges and raised or if they change shape and size. Then you should get checked out for melanoma.

It is possible that a raised mole can be cancerous, but just because you may have a raised mole does not mean you should worry.

The four signs of possible cancerous moles are:

    1) Asymmetry
    2) Jagged Edges
    3) Multiple Colors
    4) Raised mole

If you are worried, have your doctor take a look at your next appointment. :)

I just went to the doctor and they just put some gel on it and check them. It’s really quick and easy.
