I’ve had this for almost about 3 years I think. maybe almost four years. I use to go to the pool a lot and sometimes I were sunscreens. I don’t know.. maybe I missed some spot. But now I’m really wondering if I have Melanoma Skin cancer and I’m also wondering if there’s a chance if I’m going to die.. And do I have to go through any therapy to get rid of this?
Here’s the story, it started growing a lot this year and it’s been itching all of a sudden. And the mole is almost an inch wide. I shave. could it cause it. And inside my leg around the mole feels a bit rougher than the other side behind my left leg (I have the mole behind my upper leg). And my big sister has the same thing. It looks bruised and bloody like too.
Can someone that knows a lot about Melanoma reply to this cause I can’t handle the worries anymore.
Yes go see a doctor my step dad has a mole like that on his back and its cancerious. I suggest getting treatments and doing as much as you can for it

It’s not a good picture of the mole, kinda of blurry. If I were you, I would go on the computer and pull up skin cancer, and it would show you different types of cancerous moles. Then you would be able to tell. I do know a cancerous mole is black on top.and it doesn’t grow in length or width. So check it out on the web. God Bless

see a doctor straight away. the cancer could also run in your genes from your parents i would not delay seeing a doctor at all, now that it’s getting bigger and ITCHING i would be quite worried and i would try and get a booking before something happens that can’t be fixed and even if it is benine that there’s no harm in being checked out.

my,my… all i know is if there is a sudden change in the shape or assemetry. if it’s itchy or bleeding.Asymmetry. If you could fold the lesion in two, the two halves would not match.
Border. Melanomas often have uneven or blurred borders. Color. Melanoma typically is not one solid color; rather it contains mixed shades of tan, brown, and black. It can also show traces of red, blue or white. Diameter. While melanomas are usually greater than 6 millimeters (about the size of a pencil eraser) when diagnosed, they can be smaller. If you notice a mole different from others, or which changes, itches, or bleeds even if it is smaller than 6 millimeters, you should see a dermatologist. It is important to realize that a mole may have some of the characteristics described above and not be a melanoma. A biopsy is often necessary to distinguish an atypical mole from a melanoma.
Other warning signs of melanoma include:
Change in the appearance of a mole, such as the spreading of the pigment from the border of the mole into the surrounding skin
A mole that looks scaly, oozes, or bleeds
Itching, tenderness, or pain in a mole or lesion
Brown or black streak that appears underneath a nail or around the nail
Bruise on the foot that does not heal
